Claude Design Just Got Massive Upgrades (and why you should care)
What changed in 2.0, and how to port your own brand into it in one command
Claude Design was the tool everyone wanted to like but couldn't actually use. (A few prompts and you'd hit your limit!)
A massive update this week changes that, and turns it into a tool that can replace a few others you may be paying for.
Here's a preview โ
I broke down everything that changed, but these are the five worth knowing:
Shared usage limits. Claude Design and Claude Code now draw from the same 5-hour and weekly limits, so one prototype stops swallowing your session.
A real editor. Click any element and change the text, font, size or colour yourself, instead of prompting Claude (and burning tokens) for every small tweak.
Slides that replace PowerPoint. Build a deck, present full-screen with speaker notes, and export to .pptx if your company still needs the file.
Design Sync. A new /design sync command in Claude Code ports a design system you've already built straight into Claude Design, so every slide and dashboard matches your brand.
Two-way handoff. Start a front-end in Claude Design, then send it to Claude Code to wire up a live backend.
I walk through each one with real examples in that video above!
You don't need to install anything to try it - just head to claude.ai/design. And if you're a Claude Code user, run /design sync to bring your own brand across in one step.
